About Us

Vet Carla and her family are residents of Boroondara, and they proudly realised their dream of opening a family owned, local veterinary hospital in April 2010.

Boroondara Park Animal Hospital is the result of many years of planning. The concept was simple, and revolved around quality:

• to provide caring, highest quality veterinary service to the local community from a purpose built, state of the art veterinary facility.

Carla engaged Dr John Hamilton to draw up the plans for the hospital. John is a vet turned pre-eminent veterinary practice designer, and he has designed over 300 vet clinics and hospitals throughout Australia, including hospitals for universities and zoos.

Carla worked with John to develop a facility that supported the concept of a modern, clean and highly functional practice that maximises the comfort of pets, their families and the hospital team. Given Carla’s more advanced skills and training in surgery, they also incorporated in the design a comprehensive sterile surgical theatre, in which routine and advanced procedures can be completed.

All the planning and development of the hospital has been focussed towards 'providing excellence in care for companion animals, with an understanding, friendly and dedicated service to our clients’. In conjunction with the quality facility, the team at Boroondara Park Animal Hospital enable this vision with their genuine care and concern for the visiting pets and their families.
